SINGER
It is a hard time to be a singer. As this year draws to a close, I find myself standing on months of research in new technologies and numerous community outreach endeavors. I've spent innumerable hours with colleagues finding ways that we can be creative, resilient, and most supportive of our students and one another. Each day, the foundations I’ve laid shift a bit underneath me. But even as it is asked to be contained or reimagined, singing remains one of the most perfect vehicles to both transcend and help us process the world around us.

Singing is an intellectual and creative endeavor; a mental and physical catharsis. Singing is a mode for social awareness, reflection, and community connection. And each time I am lucky enough to open my mouth to sing, I try to remember all of the good that comes with that privilege.
